BLACKPINK has been really unstoppable as they continue to break record after record- even crushing their own previous record! Their previous song, “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” reached 60 million views in 3 days and 10 and a half hours! Giving BLACKPINK the title of fastest K-pop girl-group to reach 60 million views. As for “Kill This Love,” it only took 18 hours and 50 minutes to reach 80 million views. As a result, BLACKPINK now holds the record for the fastest Korean-group music video to reach 80 million views.

BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” music video has also taken the #1 trending spot on Youtube and has already hit a 100 million view count in less than 3 days.

“Kill This Love” was released on April 5th, 2019 as the title track of their 2nd mini-album. The mini-album consists of new songs such as: “Kill This Love,” “Don’t Know What to Do,” “Kick It,” “아니길 (Hope Not),” and a remixed version of “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”

In addition to this, BLACKPINK will be performing songs from their “Kill This Love” album at the Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival on April 12th and 19th. Coachella is a music festival that’s held every year during spring. Global artists of various genres including Rock, Hip-Hop, and Electronic music perform at the festival every year. As a result, Coachella has become the largest music festival in the United States.

Coachella’s founder directly invited BLACKPINK to join this year’s show, along with international musicians such as Ariana Grande, The 1975, DIPLO, Khalid, ZEDD, and many more. This also marks another record-break by BLACKPINK as the first K-pop girl group to appear in Coachella.
